We believe you have the right to control your data. Submit a data deletion request and we will permanently delete all your information within 30 days.
What Data Gets Deleted
Deleted Immediately
- Parent account information: Email, display name, account settings
- Child profiles: All child names, ages, interests, avatars
- Conversation history: All transcripts and summaries
- Wish list items: All saved items and preferences
- Payment/billing information: Subscription history and purchase records
- Achievement data: Ornaments, badges, and progress tracking
Deletion Timeline
- Within 24 hours: All data access is revoked from your account
- Within 7 days: All personal data is purged from our primary database
- Within 30 days: All backups are purged and deletion is complete
Data We May Retain
- Anonymized analytics: General usage statistics (no identifying information)
- Legal obligations: We may retain records for 7 years if required by law (e.g., tax, fraud investigation)
- Support tickets: Email correspondence with support team (only if you request to keep)
How to Request Data Deletion
Method 1: Email Request (Recommended)
Send an email to our privacy team with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
Include the following in your email:
- Parent email address: The email used for your SleighTalk account
- Child name(s): Names of any child profiles to delete (or "all profiles")
- Confirmation: Statement that you understand the data will be permanently deleted

- We verify your identity: We'll confirm you're the parent/account owner by verifying your email address
- We confirm the request: We may follow up to clarify which data to delete
- We process the deletion: All data is securely deleted according to our timeline above
- We send confirmation: You'll receive an email confirming the deletion is complete
