Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using SleighTalk (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

SleighTalk is a voice conversation application that allows children ages 3-12 to speak with an AI-powered “Santa Claus” character. The Service is designed to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Eligibility

Parent/Guardian Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account
• You must be the parent or legal guardian of any child you register
• You represent that you have the legal authority to consent to your child’s use of the Service

Child Requirements

• Children must be between ages 3-12 to use the Service
• All children must be registered by a parent or legal guardian
• Children cannot create accounts independently

3. Account Registration and Security

Parent Account

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

You may use the Service to:

• Allow your child to have voice conversations with Santa
• Review conversation summaries and wish lists
• Manage child profiles and safety settings
• Set usage limits and parental controls

Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to circumvent safety or security measures
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Transmit malicious code or content
• Harass, abuse, or harm others

5. Parental Responsibilities

As a parent or guardian, you are responsible for:

• Supervising your child’s use of the Service
• Setting appropriate usage limits
• Reviewing conversation summaries
• Maintaining the security of your account
• Ensuring your child follows these Terms
• Monitoring your child’s interactions

6. Service Features and Limitations

Voice Conversations

• Conversations are limited to 10 minutes per call
• Daily call allowances depend on your plan: 2 calls per child per day on the Family Plan, 5 on the Max Plan
• Voice audio is processed in real-time and is not stored unless a parent explicitly enables call recording
• Conversations are monitored for child safety

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Privacy Policy

• Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information
• By using the Service, you consent to our Privacy Policy
• We comply with COPPA, GDPR, and CCPA

Children’s Privacy

• We collect minimal information from children
• Voice audio is not stored by default; recordings exist only if a parent explicitly enables call recording
• Conversation transcripts are deleted automatically after 30 days by default, and parents can set that to anything from 0 days (removed by our automated cleanup within about 3 days) to 90 days
• Parents can review and delete child data at any time

We take children’s privacy seriously and comply with COPPA:

• Only parents can create accounts — children cannot — and the parent’s acceptance of these Terms at signup is recorded with a timestamp and terms version
• We provide parents with notice of our information practices
• Parents can review, modify, or delete their child’s information
• We collect only information necessary to provide the Service
