Every message is screened in real time by OpenAI's moderation service, Santa never asks for personal information, and you can review every conversation in your parent dashboard. The app is built to comply with COPPA, the US children's privacy law.

Parents create the account themselves with Google or Apple sign-in and give explicit consent during setup; we collect minimal data, provide complete transparency, and delete conversation transcripts after 30 days by default — a period you control, from "never save" up to 90 days.

Yes! All conversation transcripts are available in real-time through your parent dashboard. You can review every conversation word for word, track wishlist mentions, and monitor usage patterns. Full transparency is built into the app.

Are voice recordings stored?

Not by default. Audio is processed in real time for the conversation by our voice provider (ElevenLabs) and is not stored unless you, the parent, explicitly turn on call recording. Normally only the text transcript is saved, so parents can review conversations — for 30 days by default, and you can change that to anything from "never save" (removed by our automated cleanup within about 3 days) to 90 days in the app's Privacy settings.

What data do you collect from my child?

We collect only what's necessary: child's first name, age, and conversation transcripts (deleted after 30 days by default, or sooner if you choose). We never collect: last names, addresses, phone numbers, or biometric data — and no photos, except Advent activity photos or drawings a parent explicitly chooses to upload.

Every turn of the conversation is screened by OpenAI's content moderation API, and repeated issues end the call. Santa follows strict guidelines: no personal information requests, no outside contact suggestions, age-appropriate topics only. Parents can read the full transcript of every conversation on the dashboard.

Yes! Your plan sets the ceiling — 2 calls a day per child on the Family Plan, 5 on the Max Plan, each up to 10 minutes — and you can set a lower daily limit per child. The app enforces these limits automatically.

Our AI system maintains conversation history for each child throughout the Christmas season. Santa remembers what gifts they mentioned, their interests, conversations about being good, and family details they've shared - making each conversation feel personal and continuous.

Based on wishlist items mentioned in conversations, we provide AI-matched product suggestions from Amazon, Target, and Walmart. All shopping features are behind a COPPA-compliant parent gate - children cannot access them. Parents receive weekly email digests with shopping links.

What happens if I exceed my daily conversation limit?

You'll receive a friendly notification that you've reached your daily limit. Conversations resume the next day automatically. If you frequently hit limits, you can upgrade to a higher tier anytime for more daily conversations.
